Tema, June 30, GNA - Professor Yaw Agyeman Badu, Rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), has stressed the need for organisations to do more for Ghana to achieve her middle income status.
Prof Badu made the call in Tema during the Annual President's Ball and Fund Raising Dinner Dance organized by the Rotary Club of Tema on the theme: "Reach Out To Humanity."
The President's Ball is an annual event on the calendar of Rotarians to induct into office newly-elected officers.
Prof Badu who was the Guest of Honour, commended Rotarians for their humanitarian services to mankind and urged Rotarians to utilize their power and influence collectively to help shape and influence national development.
He urged Rotarians not to be complacent in their efforts to help build a prosperous nation.
Mr Simon Dornu, Managing Director of Ghana Commercial Bank, urged Rotarians to continue to provide proactive services to help shape and positively influence the lives Ghanaians.
Mr Ben Gyampo, President-elect of Rotary Club of Tema, pledged members' resolve to remain focused and increase their humanitarian services, enhance the public image and awareness, and support and strengthen their Club.
Mr Gyampo pledged that Rotarians would not lose sight of their vision: "Service To Mankind," but would continue to provide deprived communities with services.
Nana Yaw Gyane, out-going President, thanked the Club's corporate partners, for their numerous contributions and assistance over the years, and urged them to continue to support Rotary programmes in the years ahead.
