Mr. Paul Asare Ansah, Technical Advisor to the Minister of Transport and a Parliamentary Hopeful at Asuogyaman has advised passengers to report any unusual conduct of drivers that could result in accidents. He noted that drivers sometimes over speed or sleep behind the steer.
At times they lose focus while on phone calls or operating vehicle sound systems. Unfortunately, those who muster the courage to complain against such drivers are rather heckled by fellow passengers. He noted that we can save our own lives by being a check against such negative attitudes of drivers on the roads.
Mr. Ansah said this in the company of the DCE of Asuogyaman Mr. Samuel Kwame Agyekum and some constituency executives when they visited the Asuogyaman accident victims at Agormanya and Atua hospitals in the Lower Manya district.
The accident that claimed seven lives with several injuries occurred on Saturday at Krobo Odumase when a bus load of mourners from Akosombo were returning from Oda after attending the funeral of a church member.
Mr Ansah donated provisions and an unspecified amount of money to each of the 16 victims at the hospitals.
He praised the doctors and medical staff for the commitment with which they attended to the victims at the hospitals.
