Ranking Member of Parliament’s Select Committee on Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh has expressed his utmost surprise at the NPP government for abandoning projects that were started by the previous administration.
He couldn’t fathom why the taxpayer’s money would be misused on trivial things when projects are left to rot due to political rivalry, all in the name of who takes the glory for a particular project done.
According to him, the government has no excuse for not continuing the projects started by the previous government.
“Irrespective of the government in power, projects are being undertaken by the monies of the good people of Ghana and it must continue…” he stated.
The ranking member further lamented how abandoned projects such as the Kumawu Hospital project, the e-block schools, among others are deterioration due to the fact that the current government is not forthcoming in completing them.
He urged Ghanaians to deal with the NPP for the failure to complete such projects to serve as an example to other politicians.
“Let’s begin to punish the NPP for what they are doing wrong; when I’m standing by, I will learn something by it, that tomorrow when I get the opportunity to come, I must not repeat the same mistake because the people of this country will punish me” he urged.
He believes when this is done, politicians will be on their toes and do all in their power to make sure they are on the right track and serving the people who gave them the opportunity to lead.
