Bishop S.K. Adofo, Primate of the Brotherhood Church, has urged the people to downplay their differences to bring peace and harmony to the society.
He said as they celebrated the birthday of Jesus Christ, he said, it must not be lost on anybody the strong values that Jesus taught the world - love, care and affection, solidarity and goodwill.
He was preaching at a Christmas church service at Suntreso, in Kumasi.
Bishop Adofo said it was important to uphold “our common humanity” by helping to provide support to the poor, the needy, and the suffering.
This is a period when they have to extend love to their fellow humans and accept to share what they have with the orphaned and the destitute, he said.
He reminded the congregation to be disciplined, ensure piety and hard work to become good examples to others.
Delivering the sermon at the Gospel Revival Church of Christ at Sofoline, Kumasi, Bishop John N. K. Boateng, the General Overseer, asked Christians to remain steadfast in their faith.
He said there was nothing God could not do for those who approach him with “broken heartedness, oneness and hope”.
He advised all and sundry, especially the clergy, politicians, chiefs, academicians and technocrats, to come together to move the country forward.
Bishop Boateng expressed optimism that through the fear of God, unity and fellow-feeling, things would improve in Ghana.
He urged Christians to eschew selfishness and greed, and also forgive those who wrong them.
