Ms Helen Adjoa Ntoso, Eastern Regional Minister, has urged public servants to use the Christmas festivities to reflect over and eschew certain negative attitudes that would lead to reduction in production next year.

“If this country can make meaningful progress towards achieving significant socio-economic development, then as public servants, we need to eschew absenteeism, lateness to work and put in our maximum best at the work place to increase productivity,” she said.

Ms Ntoso was speaking at the fifth Eastern Region Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols in Koforidua.

She said government has a very good vision which only requires the contribution of all to achieve the needed development.

Ms Ntoso urged Ghanaians to use the festive occasion to re-dedicate themselves to the quest of building a better Ghana next year.

“Let us therefore contribute our quota to the growth of this country since development is a shared responsibility,” she appealed.

Ms Ntoso urged all to live in peace with one another, show love, respect the rights of others and also forge ahead as a nation with a common destiny.
