Linguist impregnates daughter

Awisa (B/A) May 21, GNA - The traditional authorities at Awisa, a farming community in Wenchi, are investigating a linguist, Kwabena Degyaw, who is accused of having sex with his three daughters and impregnating the youngest aged 14.

Information gathered from residents of Awisa who spoke to the GNA and wished to remain anonymous said teachers at Awisa Methodist Primary School detected that the 14-year-old primary six pupil was pregnant. The girl mentioned her father as the one responsible and said her father also had sex with her two sisters.

The residents said the two sisters confirmed it and that they were afraid to make any report.

They said the Odikro, Nana Takyi Boateng IV and his elders summoned Degyaw to the palace but he declined to report and has fled the village with his wife and the pregnant daughter.
