List Of Ministerial Nominations Out On Tuesday

President Kufour is expected to submit the first batch nominations to parliament for approval on Tuesday 11th January, when the house resumes sitting. Even before the list is submitted, speculations have started about some of the changes the President is likely is to make in his next government.

Investigations by Happy FM indicate that the President is keeping the cards close to his chest with even some of the ministers not knowing their fate. But sources say the President is likely to maintain majority of his ministers.

Whiles some of them will be moved, others will be dropped for some of new faces. Investigations say some ministers likely to be maintained include Finance and Economic Planning Minister, Yaw Osafo Maafo and Interior Minister, Hackman Owusu Agyeman among others. There are indications that the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports might be split, with Kwadwo Baah Wiredu getting the education slot. Defence Minister, Dr. Kwame Addo Kufour is likely to move to the Health Ministry to bring his experience as former President of the Ghana Medical Association bear on the implementation of the National Health Insurance, (NHIS) while the Energy Minister; Dr. Kwesi Ndoum is likely to move to another ministry. The Central Regional Minister, Issac Edumadze is also likely is to be moved to Accra as a sector Minister as his reward for delivering the region to the NPP.

Some of the new faces likely to be given ministerial positions include, Kofi Osei Ameyaw, the MP for Asuogyaman, and the Mohammed Antta, the NPP?s parliamentary Candidate for Tamale south.
