The defeated National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Adenta, Mr. Kojo Adu Asare, has called on President John Dramani Mahama to heed to the warning issued by the NDC financier Mr. Alfred Agbesi Woyome to avoid any situation which might haul the image of his government into a mud.
Mr. Woyome in a press conference last week called on the President to avoid appointing persons within government who are in some instances connected to the case involving the judgment debt saga.
Mr. Adu Asare who was speaking on Citi Fm’s political programme ‘The Big Issue’ stated that Mr. Woyome could be speaking from a confidential position and must be taken seriously.
“When the embarrassment comes up, it will hit the President; I am sure that is the essence of what he is trying to say. From where this case is veering towards, it is likely names are going to pop up and some of these names are the names that have been going round probably looking for one position or the other in the next administration so just beware” he observed.
He added that the embattled business man’s caution to the President is reasonable and a “very good reproach” because the case which is currently in court is a sensitive issue so “he who has an ear, should listen to what the spirit is saying.”
The outgoing MP further indicated “maybe there are issues that are likely to boomerang in this whole case so the President should be careful. I will accept that as a good admonishment.”
