The Living Grace Ministries, (LGM), one of the fastest growing charismatic churches in Ghana is to hold its annual Champions Prayer Conference, (CPC) from August 4 to 7, 2011, at the Living Temple at Berlin Top in Sunyani.

The conference would be held under the theme, “The Power of Worship in Prayer” and would attract all the twelve assemblies of the church from Kumasi, Bechem, Duayaw Nkwanta, Abesim, Goaso, Sunyani Central, Sunyani- Penkwasi, Sunyani-SSNIT, Berekum, Techiman and Atebubu.

Over 1,500 members and non members of the church, are expected to attend the four-day conference which has over the years touched the lives of people from across the country. Several prominent personalities in the Brong-Ahafo region would grace the occasion.

The event would be hosted by the General Overseer of the Living Grace Ministries and Executive Director of the Christian Leadership Institute, Rev. Dr. Richard Owusu Akyeaw with the veteran Psalmist, Rev. Thomas Yawson, founder and president of the Palace of Praise, as the guest speaker. Music would be provided by the Living Celebrants led by Pastor Kojo Oteng.

As part of preparations for the conference, pastors of the ministries have started their special retreat in Sunyani to keep themselves in shape spiritually and psychologically for the programme.

During the retreat, the pastors are fine-tuned towards the conference and are made to make useful inputs to ensure a successful programme. They are supported by members of the congregation with prayers and fasting.

The general Overseer of the ministries, Bishop Richard told Space FM in Sunyani that this year’s conference would be unique in several ways. He therefore urged the public to patronize the event and experience the power of worship in prayer.

Bishop Richard added that any one attends the conference must see his or herself as a champion because those whose prayers would be answered would be the champions for the year.

The Deputy General Overseer of the Living Grace Ministries, Rev. Lawrence Gyamfi, appealed to the youth in particular to take advantage of the conference to enrich their prayer lives and also experience the love of God for young people.

The Missions Director of the ministries, Rev. Collins Tettey, urged the various assemblies to attend the conference in their numbers since God has good things in store them. On his part, the music director of the ministries, Pastor Kojo Oteng promised to lead the living celebrants worship the Lord through prayer and urged the public not to miss the opportunity to be part of the life changing experience.
