Long truck runs over taxi cab, crashes into provision shop

A long articulated truck vehicle has run over a taxi cab parked on shoulders of the road at Bonsu Junction in the Eastern Region

The long truck with registration number GT 2809 – V was said to to be speeding and lost control running into the stationary taxi registered GR 4489 – 14 and then crashed straight into a provision shop'

An eye witness told MyNewsGh.com the trailer was parked for about three hours on the side of road, but as to how it was able to move is still a mystery.

Speaking to the moody taxi driver he said: “I’m even shocked, that truck has been up there for more than three hours, I’m still struggling to find out how it was able to move, I haven’t finished paying for the car”.

“I was in the store and decided to go buy something just as I left the truck run to my store”, another woman told MyNewsGh.com.

No causality has been recorded but the taxi was damaged beyond repairs and properties estimated several thousands of Ghana cedis destroyed.

The driver of the truck at the time of filing this report had gone missing.
