Kumasi, March 22, GNA - Two lotto sellers have been remanded by a Kumasi circuit court for allegedly defrauding the Chicodu Lotto Company. George Bobbie, sub-agent and Mohammed Rashid, an agent, pleaded not guilty and will re-appear on March 30.

Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector John K. Afful told the court that on December 31 last year and January 8 this year, Bobbie presented some winning lotto tickets with the face value of 170 and 154 million cedis to Kwaku Yeboah, the employer of the two accused persons, saying some stakers had won.

Yeboah and director of the company suspected foul play and took the tickets to the company's office for cross checking and detected that the duplicate tickets could not be traced in the booklets. A report was made to the police and the accused persons were arrested.
