Lycée Français International Accra (LFIA) is supporting the Black Stars in the Qatar World Cup Football. Its students and staff gathered on Thursday dressed in their Black Stars T-shirts to support the Ghanaian national football on their first match in the Qatar World Cup.

Students and staff came together for a special celebration during their school lunch break today to wish the Black Stars the best of luck by filming a short special video which was projected to the Black Stars ahead of their match.

Catherine Dauer, LFIA School Principal shared that the school was excited to support the Ghanaian national team in their first match and was happy to give the school community the opportunity to come together to celebrate and support the national team and wishes them all the best in the World Cup.

About LFIA

Created in 1963 by the pupils’ parents’ association with the goal to create a school providing the French educational curriculum for Ghanaians and foreigners, the LFIA has been growing from strength to strength throughout the years.

The school is the only AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad) school in Ghana and is unique in that it is a non-profit association run by the parent association and staff.

The school’s mission is to provide academic excellence, embrace the humanistic values of equality, celebrate diversity, and intellectual curiosity, and promotion of critical thinking.

The LFIA has doubled the number of students from 300 to more than 700 in less than 20 years, hosting more than thirty (30) different nationalities from kindergarten to secondary high school with an ever-increasing number of Ghanaian families choosing the school for its academic and community excellence.
