The machines which were damaged and ineffective have, through the help of Africano and Toshiba, have been restored and are ready for use by the facility.

"They have been repaired and restored, tried and tested and we have run several tests", he said.

Adding, “With the board, headed by Hon. Okoe Boye, we charged ourselves to restore everything back to normalcy so that no one leaves Korle-Bu, the premier hospital in Ghana for anything".

The hospital has, however, made provisions for backup equipment to enhance a smooth running of the 24/7 services given to patients.

The eco-station machine, which is used for measuring bones density, Radiofrequency machines, 4D ultrasound, were a few of the equipment on display at the seminar.

In an interview with the Managing Partner of Africano, Mohamed Elkaliouby, he noted that, in 2018, Africano Health Care was contacted to fix the broken MRI and CT scans in the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.

“We got a report in March that some machines in Komfo Anokye and Korle-Bu had problems; In May, we started service for the machines in Komfo Anokye and finished it in May and Korle Bu we started in November this year, we finished the M.R.I in November and we just finished the CT two weeks ago, and we have next week opening of the M.R.I and CT center in Korle Bu", he stated.
