MTN FA Cup: Medeama 0-0 Fijai United- The Yellow and Mauves progress on penalties

Medeama goalkeeper Yaw Ansah produced heroics as the side recorded a 7-6 penalty shootout win over Fijai United in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Both teams settled for a 1-1 draw with striker Latif Salifu scoring à last gasp equalizer for the visitors at the Essipong stadium in Sekondi

Fijai United took a well deserved lead in the first half and appeared to be coasting to a famous victory against the Premier League side.

But former Ghana Under -20 star Latif Salifu scored from a free header to deny the home side and sent the game into sudden death

The two teams converted their first five kicks each before defender Swap Mohammed squandered his chance to give United the edge but goalkeeper Yaw Ansah kept Medeama in thé competition by saving the kicks and send them into the last 32.
