MTN holds 2019 MoMo stakeholder conference for South West District

MTN Ghana has held the 2019 annual Mobile Money (MoMo) Stakeholder Conference in the South West District in Cape Coast, Ridge Royal Hotel to honour agents and merchants.

The annual MTN MoMo Stakeholder Conference forms part of activities outlined to celebrate the MoMo Month, a proprietary campaign organized by MTN Ghana to create awareness about the mobile money service and drive financial inclusion.

The overall Best Momo agent, Big Joe Ventures 2, located in Kasoa in the Central Region walked home with a brand new car, Modern Action Ventures and Sampathupernikao Services won an Agent Kiosk and a trip to Dubai.

Ebenezer Coker, Maame Ekua Baidoo, Elizabeth Aba Mensah, Abigail Osei, all from the Western Region and Alhassan Mohammed from the Central Region won a brand new Motorbike with other agents winning Television Set and Agent Kiosk.

General Manager for MTN Mobile Financial Services, Eli Hini congratulated all mobile agents and merchants support behind the Mobile Money success story. "MTN now has over 9million momo users who are active every 30 days as against the over 14 million registered users of Momo" all because of the hardworking agents .

He said, out of the 250 prices to be presented to agents, only 50 has been presented with the rest to be presented to the winners at their work places for people to recognize the good works the agents are doing.

He added MTN will organise such dinners at Accra for Greater Accra, Eastern and Volta region agents and Kumase for the Northern area agents.

He encouraged all agents across Ghana to work hard to also win such prices next year.
