Mr Eric Nsarkoh, Sales and Distribution Executive of the leading Mobile Telecommunication Network (MTN), has called on Ghanaians to holistically embrace technology to improve their lives.
He said technology was a necessity that could accelerate development in the life of every Ghanaian adding; “Technology is the heart of medical research, educational research, industrial development and many more.”
Mr Nsarkoh made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on the sidelines of the 2018 Springboard Road-Show at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) supported by MTN.
He noted that using the relevant technology brought results and improvement in one’s activities.
The Springboard 2018 Road-Show, which was on the theme: "leveraging Strategy and Technology," aimed at human capital development and social transformation. It was attended by hundreds up of tertiary students nationwide.
Among the key issues discussed were; how to plan, how to set goals, how to organise oneself towards a major project, globally competitive leaders, education and experience.
Various participants won cash prizes and souvenirs from Ecobank.
Speaking on the theme, Mr Tara Squire, the Head of Consumer Banking at Ecobank, stressed the need for proper strategic planning in every endeavour to increase one's chances of getting the desired outcome adding; "Good planning means half the battle is won".
He said education and experience were not enough for one to compete globally and advised participants be technologically inclined if they were to meet demands of the global market.
