Mac Dic Royal Plaza, a deluxe hotel located at Koforidua in Eastern Region has been awarded the best 3-star hotel of 2017 in Ghana by the Ghana Tourism Authority at the Eastern Regional Tourism Award which took place on 24 February 2018 at the plush Mac Dic Royal Event Park in Koforidua.
The hotel which sits on a 6.5-acre land beneath the Obuo Tabiri Mountain and surrounded by the Akuapim Mountain range offers a warm and friendly atmosphere due to the location with modern comfort and hospitality.
Mr Thomas Adjei, the Finance and Administration Director of Mac Dic Royal Plaza Hotel who received the award on behalf of the hotel decided the award to the hotel’s hardworking staff and cherished guests—adding that, “Mac Dic Royal Plaza Hotel takes pride in offering quality services to its guests and regularly re-training of its staff to be able to match international standards is an important tool to their success story.”
For his immense contribution to the hospitality industry in Ghana, particularly for the establishment of Ghana’s first COTVET accredited private hospitality institute, Mac Dic Royal Hospitality Academy situated adjacent the hotel, Barima Kofi Adjei Twinin, the CEO of Mac Dic Royal Plaza Hotel was also awarded a certificate of recognition for his foresight and leadership.
