Mahama Considers Wayo As Running Mate

Mr. Kofi Wayo (pictured) the maverick businessman and politicians may soon take one step into the future as the vice presidential candidate of the People’s National Convention (PNC).Sources close to the PNC say that Dr. Edward Mahama, the leader of the party is considering Mr. Wayo as his possible running mate.

The difficulty however is that the choice of Mr. Wayo may dent the Nkrumahist credentials of the PNC. This is because Mr. Wayo has been very critical of Ghana’s first president Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, who he has often referred to as a communist and a dictator

Mahama and Wayo have become very close lately and just last week visited the Northern Region. Both the PNC and Wayo hope to benefit from each other.
