President John Dramani Mahama has approved the appointment of three Deputy Comptrollers-General of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) as part of efforts to strengthen the operations of the service.

The appointments, announced in a press release issued by the GIS on June 24, 2026, elevate the officers from acting positions to their substantive ranks.

The newly confirmed officers are Evelyn Lonyonlo Lotsu, who will head the Finance and Administration Directorate; Faisal Disu, who has been assigned to the Command Post and Operations Directorate; and Philip Peter Andoh, who will oversee the Legal, Research, and Monitoring Directorate.

According to the GIS, the appointments were made following recommendations by the Service's Governing Council and with advice from the Public Services Commission.

The Service said the appointments recognise the dedication, leadership and performance demonstrated by the officers in their previous roles.
