Mahama arrived in Ghana Wednesday night

President John Dramani Mahama arrived in Ghana last night from his very successful trip to the UN in New York, USA and Paris- France.

He delivered a reflective and rousing speech and made a strong case for Ghana and Africa. He was also hosted by a number of international organizations and companies to address their distinguished audience at very important side events during the UN General Assembly- Some of the events centered around, IT innovations, "Zero Hunger", SDGs among others.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon not only hosted president Mahama and commended him for his "exemplary leadership" but also joined him at the deliberation of the SDG Advocates and the "Pathway to Zero Hunger" Events.

At UNESCO in Paris France, President Mahama spoke at the IPDC event and advanced the frontiers of peace, justice, media freedoms and responsibilities as they relate to the attainment of the SDGs particularly SDG goal 16.

President Francois Hollande hosted his brother President Mahama to a bilateral meeting, at which meeting the two leaders discussed trade, terrorism, climate change and development assistance.

Also, meeting the French business community and a cross section of Ghanaians at events, the president explained the brighter prospects ahead of the nation, the increasing interest of investors in our nation and the specific opportunities available in Ghana.

It is already known that French Companies such as Touton (Cocoa Processing) and Technip (Oil and Gas Services) among others are already operating in Ghana.

Air France

As part of the trip, it became known that Air France will from next year be flying from Accra to France to offer Ghanaians, foreigners and businesses variety in the flights to Europe and farther afield.

Ghana rising

President Mahana, speaking at the Kotoka International Airport said "I am happy to be back home and to have made Ghana proud....." The President added "Ghana is rising let us continue to work in peace and unity."
