Private legal practitioner and a staunch supporter of former President John Dramani Mahama, Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo has come after the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin over his recent attacks on the latter.

He describes corruption allegations leveled by the longest-serving lawmaker against former appointees of the Mahama administration as roadside gossip.

While challenging him to mention names of persons who illegally acquired mansions and V8, he wondered why he refused to report such persons to the law enforcement agencies for the necessary action to be taken.

In a post-MyNewsGh.com saw on his Facebook page, he said “Until my learned senior, Hon Bagbin specifically mention names of Mahama boys who acquired any mansions or V8 illegally and reporting same to the law enforcement agencies, please take his words as roadside gossips”

It would be recalled that the Nadowli Kaleo lawmaker on a tour of the Volta Region, while addressing party faithful in Keta, said Mahama enriched some Small boys in his four years tenure, suggesting the source of the wealth is questionable as their salaries could not make it possible.

“Don’t tell me that the boys that suddenly came closer to the president within four years can build mansions and buy land cruisers and you say there are no resources, where are they getting the money, their salaries?” He asked.

‘When you’re elected a leader, you have been given the power by the people. What you are expected to use that power to do is to empower your people to keep you in power for long… But when they give you the power, you go and empower some other people, not the people who worked to get you into power and you expect to be in power for long? It can’t happen”.

“The pillars that support you when you’re up there, are the pillars you have to fortify to continue to carry you up there when you weaken them, you fall. You cannot put something on anything. We have to change.” He continued.
