The communications lead for the Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia campaign, Dennis Miracles Aboagye is of the view that the John Dramani Mahama candidacy is an insult to the people of Ghana.

He is of the view that the former President performed abysmally and should not have thought of contesting for the 2024 elections.

Dennis Miracles Aboagye outlined several reasons why to him, a failed President should not be given the opportunity to lead Ghana.

“John Mahama is disrespecting us by even thinking of coming to ask us to vote for him. He is disrespecting us, it is an insult to the people of Ghana for us to see him on TV and say vote against these people and vote for me rather.

"You collapsed and sold 300 factories. We should vote out the people who have worked with the private sector to bring 300 factories and bring you. You withdrew the Teacher Training Allowance, you are telling us that we should vote against those who have restored Nurses and Teacher Training Allowances and give it to me.

"You kept teachers and nurses who graduated at home in 2014, 15, 16. These people have come to keep them at post and you’re saying that vote against the NPP even though they’ve posted nurses to work and vote for me who kept them at home. Teachers and Nurses worked for a year and you paid them three months and you say that the one that is paying them for the time that they are working should be voted out and you who paid them three months instead of one year, you should be voted for. It doesn’t add up,” he said.

He continued “You kept us in darkness for three out of four years and you are saying that the guys that put power on for seven years, eight years should leave for you, who could not keep the lights on. You constructed about 4000km of road but we should vote out a government that has constructed about 12,000km of roads in the country. It does not add up.”
