Mahama has never been a threat to NPP - MCE

The Municipal Chief Executive [MCE] for Atwima Nwabiagya Constituency, Amoah Awuku Michael, has branded former President John Dramani Mahama as someone who has never been serious in his entire political career.

According to him, Mr. Mahama has never been a threat to the governing New Patriotic Party [NPP] taking into consideration his miserable achievement as President of Ghana and that he will lose painfully should he decide to contest for the 2020 general election.

He argues that someone who touted himself as a youth and that he was capable of perfectly managing the country with the youth at hearts rather when voted into office messed up with his awful governance which saw him lose unprecedentedly to President Akufo-Addo who he tagged as unfit to be President.

Reacting to Mr. Mahama’s Obinim sticker comment in an interview with Abusuafmonline.com the MCE said ''President Mahama embarrassed the Ghanaian youths and even his own town people with the numerous corruption activities under his watch as President of this country so I was surprised when I heard him making such comment that Akufo-Addo needs Obinim’s sticker to be able to perform well. No serious former President will make such needless comment”.

He further stated that Ghanaians having realized his abysmal performance wouldn’t dare make a mistake of reelecting him as President of the country.

''President Mahama himself admits to the fact that he suffered indecision, he wrote his own book that he had a difficulty in making a decision so how will Ghanaians make that mistake to ever elect him as President again’’.

''Even look at his utterances right through his campaign everything that he said both on the campaign platform or even on official duty points to the fact that he’s not serious. This was a man who tagged himself as a youth who was ready to show to Ghanaians that given the opportunity the youth can also contribute enormously to the development of this country and on that account Nana Addo was old, he couldn’t walk, he was going to die and all sort of things yet when he was given the opportunity instead of demonstrating and proving to Ghanaians that indeed he was capable of ruling the country and that given the opportunity the youth will discharge themselves creditably what did we see he failed the youth woefully and ended up embarrassing himself and the North”.

He continued ''He was going around touting that the NPP was untime North and yet when he was entrusted the responsibility of governance the very people he claimed to come from and the very people he worked against what didn’t he say with respect to the Guinea Fowl matter he boldly said that the Guinea had all flew to Burkina how on earth could any serious person say this to Ghanaians. If indeed he was aware that he derived his mandate directly from the people of Ghana would he insult Ghanaians the way he did, if he was indeed serious about Ghanaians would he had behave the way he did” Amoah Awuku Michael asked.
