Mahama is a failed president – Bawumia

The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has asserted that Ghanaians should reject the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), former President John Dramani Mahama, because he is a failed president.

Speaking in a viral video of a recent campaign event in the northern part of Ghana, the NPP flagbearer indicated that Ghanaians kicked out Mahama in the 2016 election and again rejected him in the 2020 polls because he failed woefully when he was in office.

He added that the pending December 7, 2024, election would be a choice between two northerners, but one northerner has already shown that he is not good enough for the job.

“The presidency is coming to the north. It's either going to be Dr Bawumia or John Mahama. But John Mahama has been president. We have seen him and he has been a failed president.

“He failed as a president. That's why we voted him out in 2016. He came back in 2020, we voted him out again. He's coming back in 2024, we will vote him out (sic),” the vice president said to cheers from the crowd.
