Mahama is creating a fair and just society - Chief of Staff

"What President John Dramani Mahama is doing is to create an enabling environment where every citizen would be able to enjoy equal opportunities, irrespective of race, color, creed or political affiliation. He is building a nation where both the rich and the poor, weak nor strong , would enjoy the same facilities therein and not a priveliged few. This is what we call vision in progress, " the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah said.

He indicated that the provision of water, electricity, roads, interchanges, hospitals, affordable housing among other key developmental projects are evidenced to the fact that the President is committed to invest in people and make life comfortable for all.

According to him , the manifesto of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is a blue print which contains realistic plans and policies that when accomplished within the next four years could change the complexion of Ghana and make every citizen count.

The Chief of Staff is currently touring the Greater Accra region to shore up votes for President John Dramani Mahama in his re election bid.

He has so far toured the Upper West, Volta, Brong Ahafo, Eastern and the Ashanti regions.

He said it would be in the interest of Ghanaians to maintain President Mahama to continue with his vision of transformation which will create the needed opportunity for everybody, especially the under privileged.

Quoting from his party's manifesto, he said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) remains deeply committed to the principles and values of Social Democracy.

"As Social Democrats, we subscribe to a compassionate political philosophy that seeks to create opportunities for all to develop to their fullest potential. We believe that our pursuit of economic prosperity for all Ghanaians can best be achieved through appropriate regulation and strategic investments. We are therefore committed to using the legal, fiscal and trade instruments at our disposal, in an inclusive effort to safeguard the jobs of today and create the jobs of the future."

The Chief of Staff interacted with the clergy, professionals, paid courtesy calls on the Chiefs and influential people in the areas he visited.

He engaged students , nurses, taxi and trotro drivers, market women among other groupings informing them of the achievements of the President and reasons why the President and the NDC should be maintained for another four years.

The Chief of Staff and his team have deserted the comfort and luxury of their vehicles and had packed themselves in a branded President Mahama bus.

The team was met with inexplicable joy amidst dancing, drumming and chanting toaso, JM toaso, JM toaso to indicate their confidence in the President and the NDC.

The Chief of Staff, used the occasion at every constituency to call on the electorate to vote for the President and the parliamentary candidates.

Mr. Julius Debrah's entourage is made up of Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi, madam Faustina Nelson, presidential staffers Mawusi Dzirasa, Emelia Arthur and Kojo Adu Asare, Deputy minister of communications Ato Sarpong.

The rest are the Greater Accra NDC campaign coordinator Sylvester Mensah, regional chairman Joseph Ade Coker, other national and regional executives.

He predicted one touch victory for President Mahama, saying Ghana is moving forward and not backward.
