The communiqué said to be able to consolidate the gains made so far, there was the need for Ghanaians to close their ranks and focus more on issues that would unite the people for the mutual benefit of the nation.

They appreciated and endorsed measures being taken by President Mahama to fight corruption in all sectors of the economy, and called on all individuals in the country to cooperate and assist the President to win the fight against corruption.

The communiqué said; while the NDC was preparing towards constituency and regional conferences, as well as the National Congress, it was important for the rank and file of the party to exercise maximum restraint since the party would ensure a fair and transparent process.

It assured members of the party that the executives would continue to work closely with the grassroots of the party, so as to give President Mahama the needed support to accomplish the task ahead for Ghanaians to renew his mandate in 2016.
