Son of first President of the Republic of Republic of Ghana, Dr Kwame Nkrumah, Dr Sekou Nkrumah has given elected National Democratic Congress ( NDC) flagbearer John Mahama a hint of what he should do if he needs his support in 2020.
Sekou Nkrumah has said the only way NDC can inject hope into people like him is to select Goosie Tandoh, one of the defeated aspirants in the NDC race as his running mate.
According to him, “That way some of us can still have hope in NDC!!!”
Former President John Mahama was overwhelmingly endorsed by delegates of the party during their just-ended flagbearership contest. Mr Mahama polled 95.24% of the votes cast beating his contenders Prof Joshua Alabi, Alban Bagbin, Goosie Tandoh, Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, Sylvester Mensah and Nurudeen Iddrisu.
MyNewsGh.com is reliably informed that while it is not conclusive on who will be selected to partner Mr Mahama in the upcoming 2020 elections, none of his contenders will be under consideration for the position which will be expected to be named before the end of the third quarter this year, or later
Sekou Nkrumah clearly believes otherwise.
