President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo since the outbreak of COVID-19 has been updating Ghanaians in a live broadcast normally on weekends.
Sunday, 21st June, 2020 was his 12th address to the nation.
Former President John Mahama on the other hand has also been having his own form of address often on social media.
He normally uses his interactions to criticize and proffer solutions on the management of coronavirus cases to the ruling government.
Some political pundits in government have criticized this action and condemned the former President for acting as a shadow President.
However, Fifi Kwetey, a Member of Parliament for Ketu South constituency in the Volta Region in reaction has said since President Akufo-Addo asked "us not to be spectators but citizens, former President Mahama is just being a good citizen".
He was speaking on Neat FM's 'Me Man Nti' programme.
