Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe Abronye has accused Former President, John Dramani Mahama of his failure to buy ambulances he promised the country during his term of office.

According to him, page 24 of NDC’s 2012 manifesto captures promises to acquire national ambulances for the country; promises which all remained unfulfilled during his four-year term of office.

He quoted portions of the manifesto;

‘’the next NDC government will procure additional ambulances for the National Ambulance Services to establish an accident evacuation service along the major road corridor."

On the back of that, he said,

“For all the four years in power with the promises he gave to get more ambulances for Ghanaians, I didn't see anything.”

In addition to it, Abronye said that ambulances that had to be bought with the tax and toil of Ghanaians were misused by the NDC who only travelled abroad to bring in "dead ambulances".

He also noted how Former President John Dramani Mahama himself confirmed that the ambulances he bought were not appropriate to be used in the country.

Mr. Abronye, having made his point, was confident his government has done better than that of the NDC and will rate his party at a percentage of 72.

Mr. Abronye’s comments were in connection with the 307 ambulances purchased by the President of Ghana to aid the various constituencies. He spoke in an interview with Agya Kwabena of United Television.
