The Minority Leader in Parliament Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, has lashed out at members of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) for revising their votes target of 1million to 1.5 million in the Ashanti region, describing their dream as a ‘talk after belch’.

The Suame Constituency lawmaker said supporters of NDC including the President John Dramani Mahama are tickling themselves of amassing that huge votes in the region at the December polls.

The President reiterated the party’s target when he visited the region as part of his 4-day campaign tour.

Speaking with Host of Abusua Nkommo on Abusua FM Kwame Adinkrah, the legislature indicated that their dream cannot be subjected to any serious debate adding that their target is not feasible.

He wondered why the President is now in the space of serial callers’ business where majority of them talk without backing their claims with facts.

‘We have a President who talks anyhow, he doesn’t know what he is talking about, the President’s target in the region is talk after belch. When you finished eating and you belch, that is exactly what the President and the NDC are doing. This is a serial caller talk which the President is not supposed to engage in, he betrays himself by making hollow statements, with respect to the seat, John is my brother but sometimes some of his words do not sit well,’ he giggled.

He further questioned how the NDC will unseat him and the rest of the 12 seats they have targeted, ‘ they should keep dreaming on’.

Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu envisaged that the Presidential nominee of his party Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will win the December elections.

‘The government is jittery, they are panicking, hence their constant love for sharing clothes, imported sewing machines, money in the various constituencies. Where are they getting the money from, a party that 8 years ago they were owing the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) now has money to purchase stuffs for their MPs,’ he claimed.

The legislature added that Ghanaians are yearning for change, calling on the electorate to vote massively for NPP and Nana Addo.
