Mahama’s leadership was terribly bad - Kusi Boafo

Many public-sector institutions faced difficult times under the Mahama-administration because the former President, John Dramani Mahama’s leadership was ‘terribly bad’, Chief Executive Officer of Public Sector Reforms, Thomas Kusi Boafo has alleged.

Kusi Boafo is of the view that the bad leadership of the former president gave way for the creation of an unjustifiable class society in the country with people acquiring properties suspiciously.

Speaking in a recent interview with Kessben Tv's Morning show host, Omanhene, Kusi Boafo accused the former President and the former Chief of staff under the erstwhile NDC government of putting together a grand scheme to rob the country of huge sums of money.

He alleged that the two sold about 376 official cars from the office of the president from 2013 to 2016 back to the companies who sold them to the state and some individuals at ridiculously cheaper prices than they had bought them.

According to him “some cars which were sold to the nation at $165,000 were sold back to the same company at $2,500 within just 6-months”.

Presenting some documents as evidence, Kusi Boafo stressed that the companies then sold the cars for huge sums of money and shared the profits with the President and his allies.

He said some individuals who benefited from the cheap sales of the vehicles included politicians, chiefs, queen mothers, pastors and media personnel.

Kusi Boafo was speaking in response to former President Mahama’s claims that his government left ‘a sea of vehicles’ for the Nana Addo government.
