The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for their active participation in the recent demonstration calling for a forensic audit of the 2024 voter register.
As he begins a two-day campaign tour of the Ahafo Region today, Wednesday, 18 September 2024, Mahama took a moment to acknowledge the commitment of the public and his party's supporters.
Ahead of his tour, Mahama praised the unity and determination shown by Ghanaians in advocating for a transparent electoral process.
He extended his thanks to the NDC executives, the Elections Directorate, and the dedicated supporters who played a pivotal role in the demonstration.
The NDC flagbearer emphasized that the demonstration was more than a call for an audit; it was a plea for justice, fairness, and the protection of democratic rights.
Mahama underscored the importance of the Electoral Commission maintaining the trust of the Ghanaian people, warning against any betrayal of this trust.
