Make Gambaga Capital of NER and deal with troublemakers - Youth to Gov’t, Nayiri

Pressure is mounting on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo by youth of Gambaga in the East Mamprusi Municipal to make the area the capital of the newly created North East Region.

At a press conference held in Gambaga, the group catalogued several reasons including security and defense, centrality, availability of existing structures, land and other resources, political history as well placed argument for their request.

They are also pleading with the Nayiri Naa Bohigu Abdulai Mahami Sheriga to, as a matter of urgency call to order those individuals within his kingdom who have set out to create chaos and to mar the beauty of his rule.

“Their actions are a threat to his rule and the peace of the entire north east region”, they warned.

According to them, Gambaga for several decades has been regarded as the the administrative capital of the East Mamprusi Municipality and Gambaga equally respect Nalerigu as the traditional capital of Mamprugu.
