He said the region had recorded 78 thousand 50 of the disease by the middle of this year. This, he said, would be doubled by the end of the year if steps are not taken to combat it. Mr.. Quainoo appealed to the public to organise regular clean-up exercises to help prevent the breeding of mosquitoes. He said this will control the disease and reduce the infant mortality rate in the region.
