The Asante-Mampong police division recorded a total of 100 deaths in 268 vehicular accidents between January 2001 and April this year.
Eighty-three defilement cases were also reported to the division.
Chief Superintendent of Police in-charge of the Division, Mr Kwaku Ayensu Opare-Addo, gave the figures when he spoke on "Indiscipline in society" at a durbar held at Adidwam in the Sekyere West district to mark the third national Constitution Week celebration.
It was organised under the auspices of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE).
Chief Superintendent Opare-Addo blamed the increasing spate of fatal motor accidents, rape and defilement on disregard for the law and weak morals.
He appealed to religious bodies to focus more on discouraging their followers from acts of indiscipline, saying, it was time the people became law-abiding.
Chief Superintendent Opare-Addo said: "Your teachings must reflect in the way you conduct yourselves in society."
He condemned people, who under the guise of "all-night service" drum and make so much noise to disturb others.''
Chief Superintendent Opare-Addo asked the district assembly and the unit committees to closely monitor the activities of the Churches and ensure that those who breached the law were dealt with.
He advice the neighbourhood watch committees members not to trying criminal cases but to report any law breaker to the appropriate quarters.
