Asamankese, Aug. 28, GNA- Paul Adomako, 19, was put before a Circuit Court at Asamankese for allegedly luring a 13-year-old class five pupil into a kiosk and sexually defiling her. His accomplice, Kwasi Asamoah with whom he defiled the girl in turns managed to escape
Adomako pleaded not guilty and was remanded in prison custody until September 14.
Police Detective Chief Inspector Osei Owusu told the court that in the night of March 13, this year, the mother of the victim sent her and while she was returning from the errand, she met Adomako, who asked the victim to accompany him to see a friend.
The girl followed him and when they got to a kiosk in an isolated area, Adomako dragged her into the structure, pushed her on a straw mat and sexually assaulted her.
Chief Insp. Owusu said after Adomako had satisfied himself, Asamoah who was already hidden in the kiosk also pounced on the victim and had sex with her.
The prosecutor said the girl did not inform anyone about the case but a family friend who saw the victim walk unsteadily the following day, enquired from her what was wrong with her. The girl told the family friend about the ordeal she went through and Adomako was arrested.
Adomako was granted bail to help the police apprehend Asamoah but he absconded and was arrested and handed over to the police by a relative who stood surety for the accused.
