A man believed to be in his 30s has hanged himself in a kiosk directly opposite the main entrance of the Ejisu Secondary/Technical School in the Ejisu/Juabeng Municipal Assembly.

The deceased is yet to be identified.

Local residents say the man was spotted hanging in front of the kiosk around 6:00am on Friday, October 28, 2016.

He was wearing a black vest which had the neck and sideways designed with red and a black adidas shorts also designed with sea-blue at the sideways.

He had his bag and shoes beside him.

In addition to that, a chair popularly used by tailors, was also spotted beside him while his neck was tied in red sponge and still hanging.

Kokole Joshua, a reporter with a local radio station, Okese FM, told Kasapafmonline.com when contacted that some residents are suspecting foul play about the death of the 30 year-old man.

“If you see the body hanging, his feet are touching the ground and the chair believed to be have used by him … if he stands on it, he is taller than the height in which he was spotted. So, some residents suspect that the deceased may have been killed by unknown assailants,” he noted.

He added “very characteristics of people who commit suicide are urine and faeces. But in this case, there was no urine or faeces on his body.”

The case has since been taken over by the Ejisu Police for investigation with the body of the deceased deposited at the Juabeng Government Hospital mortuary.
