A 38-year-old man known as Delali Kudjoe was on Sunday found dead at the Dansoman SSNIT flats.
He is reported to have fallen down two floors from the fourth floor and landed on an interconnecting walkway between blocks 12 and 13.
The victim, according to Citi News, lived with his brother till the time of his death.
A resident, Mrs. Vinolai, who lives on the same floor as the deceased said the 38-year-old came home drunk on Sunday morning and slept on the wall of the fourth floor.
She also mentioned that due to his habitual drinking, he frequently had quarrels with members of his family.
Recounting the sequence of events, she noted that one of the members of the family, who was sleeping close to the door in anticipation of his (deceased) return on Sunday morning from one of his drinking sprees, heard a loud bang early Sunday morning.
According to Mrs Vinolai, he (family member) refused to open the door because of the fear it was a gun shot from armed robbers.
On Sunday morning, however, the news of the death of their kinsman was broken to them by a neighbour.
The victim is said to have worked at the Registry of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service and Police Service managed to remove the remains of the deceased from scene of the incident with support from residents.
