Man commits suicide after allegedly murdering a couple

Akorabuokrom-Ashanti, Sept. 6, GNA - Kwadwo Alormanyo 37, a palm-wine tapper on Friday committed suicide after allegedly murdering a couple under bizarre circumstances at Akorabuokrom near Nyinahin in Atwima-Mponua District of Ashanti Region. Alormanyo was alleged to have shot himself with a gun and died instantly after gunning down Kwabena Agyei 43, and his wife Azumi Kusasi 36, in a bush at the outskirts of Akorabuokrom.

Akorabuokrom-Ashanti, Sept. 6, GNA - Kwadwo Alormanyo 37, a palm-wine tapper on Friday committed suicide after allegedly murdering a couple under bizarre circumstances at Akorabuokrom near Nyinahin in Atwima-Mponua District of Ashanti Region. Alormanyo was alleged to have shot himself with a gun and died instantly after gunning down Kwabena Agyei 43, and his wife Azumi Kusasi 36, in a bush at the outskirts of Akorabuokrom. Police Superintendent Samuel Aloredey, in-charge of Nyinahin police, told Ghana News Agency that the couple, who were akpeteshie distillers, went to their farm in the morning for their usual business. He said after taking their breakfast, Alormanyo emerged and without any provocation shot the couple indiscriminately, killing them instantly before committing suicide. Police Superintendent Aloredey said the corpses had been deposited at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) morgue for autopsy. He said the police were investigating the incident. 06 Sept. 08
