Man detained for assaulting a 56-year-old woman at Awutu Breku

The Awutu Breku District Police Command has arrested a young man for allegedly assaulting a 56-year-old woman at Awutu Breku in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.

The young man, who is in his thirties, allegedly slapped the victim several times on the grounds that she had gossiped about him.

The suspect has been identified as James Anquandoh.

The victim, according to eyewitnesses, collapsed and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

Relatives of the victim disclosed that the woman has suffered bruises and an effect in her ears and is currently on admission at the Awutu Breku Health Centre for treatment.

The suspect is currently in the custody of the police and assisting them with their investigation.
