Accra, Sept. 8, GNA - Police have arrested a 49-year-old man suspected to be a dealer in Indian hemp.

Ishahaku Musah was grabbed upon a tip off given to the Police that some people were carrying Indian hemp from Avenor to the articulated truck station, behind the Neoplan Station in Accra.

Inspector Cephas Edzeani briefing the GNA said following the tip-off, he proceeded to the area and started random checks in and around wooden kiosks.

When he reached a particular kiosk Musah appeared and appealed to him to stop the search and negotiate with him.

Inspector Edzeani said he opened the kiosk and found bundles of Indian hemp wrapped in black polythene bags.

He said in order not to incur the displeasure of the suspect he invited him to a spot near the Neoplan Police Station, near the Kwame Nkrumah Circle for the negotiations. He then signalled other Policemen, who helped in his arrest.
