A young man named Nana Yeboah ran to TV3’s "Confessions" on August 29, 2024, to seek help after duping his friend of a large amount of money he had saved to travel abroad for greener pastures.

“So, Miss Nancy, after completing secondary school, life was very tough, so I had to move to Accra. There, I found a friend, and we became like brothers. Eventually, my friend managed to save up some money. He wanted to travel abroad to seek better opportunities. For me, I couldn’t save because I had to send money home,” he said.

According to Nana Yeboah, his friend, whom he considers a close brother, planned to leave the country and had saved for the journey. However, his travel documents couldn’t be secured because he (Nana) conspired with another person to defraud him of his hard-earned savings.

Yeboah explained that after completing senior high school, life became unbearable for him, so he sought relief in Accra, where he met this friend.

He added that he learned of his friend's plans to leave the country and, when the time came, he managed to get his savings because he couldn’t plan for the future due to family demands on him.

He asserted that upon realizing he had lost his savings, his friend sought death vengeance from a powerful spiritualist, which made him afraid for his life, hence his confession and need for help.

“So, when my friend was ready to leave, I managed to convince him that I knew someone who could process his travel documents very quickly.

“My friend was very eager to leave, so he gave me the money, his savings, to do that for him. But I secretly conspired with someone to scam him of his savings, and we split the money equally. My friend, upon realizing that he was deceived, got very angry and decided to seek vengeance.

“I managed to convince him to let it go, but then he went to a powerful juju man to kill whoever stole his money. So, I was very scared, and I don’t want to die,” he added.
