An eye witness said Yeboah had been quarreling with the wife for some time now, but it was after the act that they realized their quarreling had to do with the less-endowment of the man. According to the eyewitness, it was on the lips of Yeboah a week to the incident that he was going to do something nasty.

The eyewitnesses claimed there was a misunderstanding between the couple late in the evening with the wife running to take cover in the room of the deceased (Awuah).

Awuah was said to have attempted to disarm Yeboah who was wielding the cutlass but Yeboah stabbed him in the stomach.

The wife, overwhelmed with fear took to her heals for safety, but Yeboah chased and butchered her.

After the act, Yeboah fled into the bush and has since not been found.
