MyNewsGh.com has learned that interested candidates for the Mahyia South Seat have only 48 hours left to file their nominations at the political party's office.
Candidates must submit their forms by Tuesday, July 9.
The political party has set the filing fee at GHC 17,500.
However, women, youth, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) are eligible for a 50 percent rebate on the filing fees.
The nomination form is being sold at a non-refundable fee of GHC 3,000.00.
This announcement follows the selection of the sitting Member of Parliament, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, as the running mate for the flagbearer of the political party.
The party has scheduled the primary for Sunday, July 14, 2024.
"Candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable filing fee of seventeen thousand and five hundred Ghana cedis (GHC 17,500.00)," stated the party.
Reports indicate that several members of the New Patriotic Party are eager to vie for the seat.
