Samuel Koku Anyidoho, the former aide to the late President John Evans Atta-Mills, has criticized the National Democratic Congress for allowing the government in power to unveil its manifesto before them, the opposition.
According to him, a determined opposition party, especially when the presidential candidate is a former president, would not allow the sitting government to launch their manifesto first.
He said, "No serious Opposition Leader (especially a former President) should allow the government of the day to release its manifesto before you do."
He made this statement in a post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, on August 19, 2024.
He added that Ghanaians already have all the information they need from the NPP's manifesto.
Anyidoho described the NDC's presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, as "a joker."
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) launched their manifesto on August 18, 2024, at Ghana Secondary and Technical School (GSTS) in Takoradi, Western Region, while the National Democratic Congress is scheduled to launch theirs on August 24, 2024, at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah auditorium, University of Education, Winneba.
