Mankoadze Chief Calls For Unity Among Citizens

Fri, 4 Jul 1997 Source: --

Gomoa-Mankoadze(c/r), July 3, The chief of Mankoadze in the Central Region, Nana Otsew Adabraku the second, has called on his citizens to unite and work hard for the progress of the area. Addressing a quarterly meeting of the traditional council at Mankoadze yesterday, Nana Adabraku made it clear that the country has no room for laziness because it breeds discontentment while hard work brings satisfaction. He warned those who were bent on sowing seeds of discord in the area to desist from such acts, adding that plans are underway to promulgate a bye-law which would deal with such people. He reminded Mankoadze citizens at home and abroad of their responsibilities towards the improvement of the area. On his part, Nana Kojo Apanyin the second, Obaatan of Mankoadze, told the people that it was their turn to improve upon what had been built by members of the Anona Royal family since 1883 and said they must also leave something for posterity.
