Black Stars deputy coach Maxwell Konadu has jumped to the defends of Inter Milan star Kwadwo Asamoah following his decision to pull out of the AFCON qualifier against Ethiopia due to injury.
Konadu indicated that the technical team are aware of Asamoah’s predicament but as to the type of injury, they are yet to find out.
“We know he is injured but it’s his private issue, as to what kind of injury, we do not know,” Konadu told OTEC FM
“You cannot run a national team if you always come out with issues discussed with the players, we have to protect their privacy,”
Asamoah is said to have taken some knocks in Inter’s 4-1 humiliation by Atalanta Bergamo over the weekend though he lasted full time.
