Media General Group CEO receives Ghana Women of Excellence award

The Group Chief Executive Officer of Media General, Beatrice Agyemang Abbey, has been honoured for her contribution to the Ghanaian media industry over the last two decades at the 5th Ghana Women of Excellence Awards ceremony held in Accra.

The event was organized by Top Brass Ghana on the occasion of the 2020 International Women’s Day celebrations under the auspices of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection. The theme year’s event was empowering the Ghanaian woman for national development.

According to the organizers, the Ghana Women of Excellence Award was conferred on Ms. Beatrice Agyemang Abbey in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the Social and Economic development of Ghana in the category of Media.

The awards scheme on a yearly basis celebrates Ghanaian women who are setting the pace in diverse fields to better the lives of others in society.
