Renowned Lawyer and Sports Journalist Moses Foh-Amoaning has entreated the beleaguered former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi to stop engaging in media battle with ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas following the release of the latter’s video.

He said its pointless for Mr Nyantakyi to engage in a media battle with Anas by trying to redeem his image when the matter is being investigated.

Mr Foh-Amoaning suggested to the former FA boss to protect the information he has and use it when the matter gets to the court.

Mr. Foh-Amoaning speaking with Francis Abban on Morning Starr wondered the kind of people advising Mr Nyantakyi to redeem himself publicly, entreating him to keep mum about the matter.

“I don’t know who is advising Kwesi, he is a lawyer…he should get some senior lawyers to advise him. This is a matter that is under investigation…it is not a media battle, he is going to lose it.

“I think he will be wisely advised to stay away from all this PR matters, they don’t help his course…the most important thing is protect the information that you can use when the matters come to court, so I don’t know who is advising him to try and redeem himself,” he said.

Mr Nyantakyi in a statement on Monday said a third party representing Anas requested $150, 000 from him in order to drop the video.

But he said he turned down the offer because he couldn’t raise such an amount.

“Let me also confirm that there was a demand on me through a third party to part with $150k for Anas to drop the videos on me. I didn’t have the said amount of money to meet his demand,’ Mr Nyantakyi disclosed.

Lawyers for Mr Nyantakyi have disclosed plans of filing a suit against Anas and BBC.

The former FA Boss who resigned after he was slapped with a 90-day ban said he doesn’t support corruption in any form.

Mr Nyantakyi was captured on camera using the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s name to dupe potential investors.
