The National Democratic Congress has launched a scathing attack on political scientist, Dr. Richard Amoako Baah, describing him as incorrect and biased in his analysis.

The attack on Amoako Baah follows comments by the former Head of the Department of History and Political Science of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology that the decision by the NDC to pull out of an Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) sponsored debate for or against a new voters register ahead of the 2016 elections is completely senseless.

“It is shocking because the argument they are giving makes no sense, if IEA wants to conduct a debate how does that usurp the authority of the electoral commission… it makes no sense,” Amoako Baah said.

But a deputy general secretary of the NDC, George Lawson told host of Morning Starr, Nii Arday Clegg, that Amoako Baah must be ignored by the media because he is abnormal and bias in his analysis.

“Does he make sense, he calls himself a political scientist and behaves like somebody who hasn’t been to school before?"

"A dean of a school and behaves like this, an expert who gives bias political analysis, is he correct? I don’t see him to be normal, he is not correct.

“He is a disgrace to the university and… a disgrace to the academia, as an expert they are soliciting your advice whatever colours you wear you put it aside, you are not being called as a politician, you are being called as an expert, as a political scientist and he behaves like somebody who hasn’t even been to the class before but well, I don’t blame him if you look at his appearance you can tell,” Lawson said on Starr 103.5FM Tuesday.
